The first demo

A true digital collector’s item: a restored recording of the first demonstration of a Macintosh computer given in 1984 by Steve Jobs, young, black-haired, charming as ever and wearing a suit and a bow-tie for the occasion. During my first college years this was the Macintosh model we used for writing our study papers, as you did not need the full-color screens to write text: those were used for heavy stuff such as graphic design. You would carry around floppies with your work and I remember how weird it felt every time you had to throw your disk in the Trash to make it pop out.
