Plasticine world

Plasticine, a brand of modelling clay, is a putty-like modelling material made from calcium salts, petroleum jelly and aliphatic acids. (Wikipedia)

The Polish design agency Malum has created an unusual website for themselves using… animation of plasticine figures. The idea makes the site stand out among the numerous mostly Flash-animated sites so popular today, with a funny, completely different style.

This website reminded me of the animation movies, which were extremely popular in Russia when I was a child, them too presenting a world made completely out of plasticine. Below is one of the finest – and funniest – examples, the animation cartoon ‘The plasticine crow’ (Plastilinovaya vorona). Even if you cannot understand the lyrics you will surely enjoy the animation.
